In the evening of Jul. 20th, invited by the autonomous car China and America exchange research camp held by Shenzhen Young Maker, ChanTea of Zhengjue Culture hosted a special Chan Tea Cultural parent-child tea party for fifteen high school Chinese-American students. Grew up in the USA, these teenagers are admitted to Stanford, Harvard, and other famous universities. It is a rare occasion for their parents to bring them home and feel the splendid Chinese Chan and Tea culture during summer vacation.
The tea party started with Chan Tea performance by ChanTea artist. The Chan Tea performance was very elegant and graceful, all the students and parents watched absorbedly.
After the performance, the instructor taught students how to make tea patiently. He told them to do it sincerely and to offer parents and teachers a cup of tea with a filial heart. Students were very concentrated on making their own tea with joy. One student talked excitedly: “Our Chinese tea is very delicious and it is very amazing that the tea made by different people has different flavor. Another student said that the flavor of tea has a lot to do with the mood of tea maker. It is wonderful that the young people can feel the culture and grasp the spirit of tea.

They said they were very cheerful to attend this activity today and felt very touched when they drank the tea made by their children. Some parents said they wanted to buy tea sets after going home, and enjoy tea with their children.
One parent asked a couple of questions for students, how do we sense the taste when we sip tea, how does the brain work? Students showed their strong interests in the tea and tea culture.
One parent said today's activity was very pleasant and peaceful. It is rare for my child to be quiet and make tea. I was very moved when I received the tea from my child. Usually, we rarely have chances to sit together.
One parent shared: my child was careless when he made the tea at the first round, the tea leaves were not completely soaked. However, the latter two times are much better, the aroma of tea was very good. And by tasting the tea from child next to us, I could feel she was making tea very with her heart. This is a very good activity.
With grateful hearts, students wrote down their best wishes to their parents and presented them the flowers to thank them for raising them up with love.
They took group photos happily to keep this memorable good time. CHEERS!
